FTIR Training Courses

Protea offer training courses on various aspects of the use of FTIR for stack emissions monitoring.

Course 1 - Introduction to FTIR

This course aims to provide a generic introduction to FTIR technology suitable for all current or potential users of any FTIR analysers. The following syllabus is covered:

Why Use FTIR?
Explanation of FTIR and its uses
IR spectra and basic analysis
Performance parameters of FTIRs
Equipment available (from common manufacturers)
Permanent / Periodic monitoring and MCERTS
An introduction to ASTM D6348 method

Protea also runs the following additional FTIR courses:

Course 2 - Advanced analysis of FTIR Spectra

Course 3 - Use of the Protir FTIR analyser

Course 4 - Implementation of the ASTM D6348 Method

All training courses are held regularly at Protea offices in Crewe, Cheshire however, on-site training courses can be arranged anywhere in the UK by special arrangement.
