Batch Emissions ProfilingThe instrumental technologies are very suitable for the special case of batch emissions - i.e. complex and varying emissions based on discontinuous multistage operation.
The particular difficulties of batch profiling include:
- Varying and discontinuous releases captured through continuous profiling
- Frequent extremely high concentrations requiring dilution to levels suitable for measurement
- General requirement for intrinsically safe operation
- Need to measure kg/hr by also measuring flow
- Measuring kg/hr in displacement vents needs special sampling technique
Over many years of batch profiling, Protea has developed a number of sampling and monitoring techniques to overcome these problems.
