PF100Gas Flowmeter Probe and Control Unit

Protea's logging flow meter has a large measuring range and the ability to detect very low flows. The measuring sensor and signal cable are intrinsically safe and robust, intended for critical and difficult measurements such as chemical plant vents and stack testing applications.





PF100 ScreenshotThe sensor uses thermal mass technology to measure flow rates from under 0.1m/s to 40 m/s in pipe sizes upwards of 50mm diameter. The meter is programmable for gas composition and pipe diameter. It directly displays the velocity of gases flowing in a pipe.

All readings are displayed on the control box, and if used with the flow logging option, can be viewed as real time velocity profiles. The data can be easily downloaded and transferred into other programs such as spreadsheets.

Accuracy Accuracy of the probe is +/- 0.5% of full scale, or within 2% of reading.

Fast response time Response is instantaneous, with logging frequency down to 1 second.
Wide temperature Range Permissible process temperature from -10 to +110ºC.
Flexibility of use The sensor can be placed up to 100m away from the control unit.
Automated operation The PF100 can be used by minimally-skilled operators.
Rugged design The PF100 can be supplied with a rugged case for longer life.

CONTROL UNIT SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Dimensions (mm) are 135(h) x 261(w) x 300(d)
  • Requires a 110v/240v power supply
  • Unit should be located in a 'safe area' up to 100m from the intrinsically safe sensor
  • Logging software is also provided, to log velocity readings and also provide velocity profiles

How to Use the UnitWide RAnge of Flows
  • Install the probe into the duct
  • Find a safe area for the control box
  • Lay the cable between the probe and the control box and attach at both ends
  • Power up the system
  • Start measuring gas velocities
  • Start logging your flow data
